Master Piece for Opening Ceremony

I adore these bright color block backpacks designed by Master-Piece for Opening Ceremony.
Master-piece creates hand crafted, quality products that are built to last. The Osaka-based company pairs their quality craft with stylish accents like the suede used here.

Pretty Lingerie Accents

This fall there has been an influx of lace inspired looks that have had me searching through my lingerie drawer for the perfect accent piece. Lingerie no longer is reserved just for the bedroom, now you can wear it peeking out from under sweaters, blazers and skirts. One of my favorite stores in New York for these perfectly pretty pieces is Only Hearts. Shown: Point D' Esprit Cami $66. Silk Charmeuse Slip $122.
For Plus Size Clothing and Lingerie check out Ashley Stewart.
New Products: Fresh Minerals Collection

I recently had the opportunity to try some new products from one of my favorite beauty companies Fresh. The new FreshMinerals collection allow the skin to breathe and don't block or clog the skins pores. Mineral make-up also offers protection from UVA light and protects the skin from environmental pollutants. All of the collections foundation and bronzer products offer SPF 20 as well. And the products are all water resistant, so they won’t come off with perspiration. I tried the Mineral Duo Loose Leaf Powder Foundation. I was impressed with the weightlessness of the powder. It literally felt lighter than the other facial powders I have used. The foundation powder covered my pours and smoothed out the color in my skin flawlessly. I also tried the Fresh Minerals Super Volume Mascara. The brush was great for applying the color and separating my lashes. There was no clumping and my lashes didn't stick together. Check out the Fresh website for more of the freshMinerals products including eye shadows, eyeliners and lip gloss.
Pilgrim Shop NYC - Named in Japanese Elle Magazine

PILGRIM opened its doors at 70 Orchard Street earlier this summer. Pilgrim is part boutique and part art gallery. Owners Richard Ives, a former stylist and Brian Bennett an art connoisseur bring together a curated collection of vintage designer pieces from Lanvin, Cacharel, YSL, and Ungaro as well as paintings and art books. The stores own ready to wear collection (shown) is inspired by iconic shapes from fashion and cinematic history. Japanese Elle Magazine has just named Pilgrim "Best new NYC Boutique for Fashion Editors, Models, Stylists."
Leather Jackets by Mike & Chris

Designer Mike & Chris has created these funky leather jackets. Whether you are into ruffles or something more modern, they have a range of designs to fit every look. I especially love the colors maroon, navy and gray (as opposed to the typical black and brown). Shown: Rupert Double Breasted Jacket $775, Janus Leather Jacket with Ruffle $645, Deon Vintage Washed Lambskin Jacket $675 all available at Singer22.
Contrary to popular belief...
HG and I did not get into a fight and decided to stop working together on I am Fashion and started our own blogs instead. (Even our mutual friends wondered about it!) We still email each other daily about the intricate details of our lives and random thoughts we have, and feel extremely empty when the other is away and has no access to the internet. When I freak out, she is the first person I call and she is still my maid of honor when I fantasize about my wedding. Our reasons for closing down I am Fashion still stands, though I do think that my later rationalization of it in this blog is a better articulation of how we feel.
As for us continuing to blog even more regularly than before, I attribute it to the "newness" of our blogs. Starting a new blog is like starting a relationship. At the beginning everything is new and exciting as you get to know the other person and watch your relationship grow and mature. Every up and every down is a significant moment. Then the honeymoon phase eventually wears off and you reach a happy medium, where your relationship becomes a part of your daily life. With any luck, you will live happily ever after in this state with a few surprises here and there to spice up the norm. If not, your relationship will wane and you grow apart, eventually deciding that you are both better off parting ways.Clearly I'm in the honeymoon phase. We are starting to explore new things together, trying to figure out what works best for the both of us. Every new post is an adventure. Every comment and email is exciting. I want to spend every moment of everyday with it, checking on its progress i.e. stalking the traffic, the incoming and outgoing links etc. It's an exhilarating feeling that I'd almost forgotten about!
Analogy aside, it is heartwarming to read everyone's encouraging comments and to know that we were able to leave a small footprint on some people's lives. We appreciate your support and remember that we've not left the blogging world for good. Come visit us some time at our new blogs -(Find the links to our new blogs in the post below). We miss you guys!
